Business Executive Workshops

Looking in the Mirror: Who Am I?

No matter where you work, you will have co-workers you get along with and those you could get along without.  But did you know that you hold the key to working well with your co-workers? It comes from discovering how to harness the power of personality.

Whether you manage the department, work on a job site, volunteer at your child’s school, the insights you will discover in this workshop will revolutionize your relationships.

If you’ve ever asked yourself the following questions, this workshop will help you:

Why did I react that way?

Why can’t Sherry and I get along?

Why don’t I understand Tom?  He always seems to rub me the wrong way.

Do you know difficult people, people who don’t see things your way?

Do you know someone like Bob Bossy, who lets you know, “If you just do what I tell you to do when I tell you to do it, we will get along just fine”?

Or do you know someone like Gilda Guilt, who controls people by making them feel guilty?

This workshop will not only assist you in understanding others, but it will help you understand yourself.

Trust: What it is All About…

Steven R. Covey says, “There is one thing that is common to every individual, relationship, team, family, organization, nation, economy, and civilization throughout the world.  One thing which, if removed, will destroy the most powerful government, the most successful business, the move thriving economy, the most influential leadership, the greatest friendship, the strongest character, the deepest love.

"On the other hand, if developed and leveraged, that one thing has potential to create unparalleled success and prosperity in every dimension of life.  Yet, it is the least understood, most neglected, and most underestimated possibility of our time.

"That one thing is trust.”

This workshop will help you learn to create prosperity, energy, and joy in a low trust world.

Teambuilding: Coming Together to Form a Successful Business Community

Building a team for your organization can only be done with specific intent.  Even in sports, if the individuals participating do not understand teamwork, they are headed for failure.  Also, in any business, there must be an appreciation for teamwork beginning at the top and going through the organization if you are to reach excellence.

Many use the acronym for “TEAM” to stand for:

Together

Everyone

Achieves

More

In this workshop, you learn how to build a successful team that will enhance your personal growth and help your teammates to grow; thereby, allowing a positive change in the entire culture of your organization. Transitioning Leadership and Building Teams

Any time a new member joins a team, it becomes a whole new team, with new dynamics, and often, shifting priorities. New members must learn what is expected of them; veteran members must learn to be open to a new member’s ideas, and both must learn to trust each other.  Myers-Davis Life Coaching & Business Consulting can help teams in transition reduce the time it takes to learn about each others’ needs, working styles, and priorities through a variety of resources and consultation services.

One of the most useful services for new teams is a facilitated transition session led by Myers-Davis.  Our transition workshops generally focus on two issues: 1) clarifying expectations for the team’s working relationship, and 2) identifying priorities for the board-CEO team to concentrate on in the near future.

Leadership: Why Would Anyone Want to Follow You?

Is being a good leader something you are born with, or is it something you learn? Can leadership be taught?

Bill George, the former chairman and CEO of Medtronic and author of Authentic Leadership said, Although we may be born with leadership potential, all of us have to develop ourselves to become good leaders."

James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner wrote in their book The Truth About Leadership, “In these turbulent times, when the very foundations of our organizations and societies are being shaken, leaders need to move beyond the pessimistic predications, the trendy fads, and the simplistic solutions.  They need to turn to what’s real and what’s proven, to understand what the evidence tells us about how exemplary leaders get extraordinary things done.”

This workshop addresses these issues and much more!  If you desire to be a leader or improve your leadership qualities, this seminar will be of value to you and your organization.

*We will tailor each seminar according to the needs of your church, business, individual or organization. Any topic you request can be addressed.
