Hello, I am Kerby Overturf, and I’m the Deputy Waiver Director here at Myers-Davis. My knowledge of the Waiver program grows daily. I have been in the Waiver field for 10 years now. I started out as a Direct Support Professional. I then moved on to become a Care Coordinator for a PASSE through Medicaid. I joined Myers-Davis in July 2023 as a Direct Care Supervisor for the Waiver program and then accepted promotion to be the Deputy Waiver Director. This field is truly my passion. I have always said disabilities mean possibilities which starts with everyone involved in the individual’s life to ensure the best outcomes by collaborating and extending outreach to meet each goal towards the member’s future. We all have our “WHY”. One of my main ones is to always fight for the quality, dignity, and choice for the ones who aren’t heard. 

I am currently working towards my master’s degree in healthcare administration and currently attend LSU online. You read that right; I’m a full-time student and full-time Deputy Waiver Director. What can I say? I enjoy a gool ole challenge.  

This is the part where I am supposed to tell you something interesting about me, but I really don’t have much to tell. I’m a simple person. I have been married for 11 years to my sweet husband. I enjoy traveling the world and exploring God’s beautiful creation. My favorite title is “Aunt.” I have 3 beautiful nieces and 3 handsome nephews… and no, I am not biased. They are actually really cute!
