Lesa teaches the Career-to-Work Study classes at Highland, Izard County Consolidated and Mammoth Spring high schools.
She has been married to Leo Barnett for 22 years. She graduated with honors in 1989 from Poughkeepsie High School. Soon after graduation, Lesa enlisted in United States Navy, she then studied business at Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas. Lesa is also a certified job coach through Arkansas Rehabilitation Services.
Prior to becoming an educator for Myers-Davis, she was a substitute teacher at Highland High School and Highland Middle School. It was at this time she said she discovered her love for working with kids, specifically working with special education students. She said her future goals are to continue the path she believes she was meant to be on.
