Trusting God’s Guidance

It has been said that nothing great was ever done without an act of decision. It’s said too, that patience may simply be the inability to make decisions. When you need to make a choice or decision and can’t (or won’t), that is a decision. Many believe that choice, not chance, determines one’s destiny. But how can God guide someone if they can’t make up their own mind which way they want to go?

Consider the Almighty’s desire to provide and guide.

“God is good and does what’s right…He teaches His ways to humble people…When people choose to follow the Lord, He shows them the best way to live and they will enjoy good things.” (Ps. 25:8-13, ERV)
“Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge. With every step you take, think about what He wants, and He will help you go the right way.” (Prov. 3:5-6)

These Scriptures show the importance of seeking God’s wisdom, both professionally and personally, making choices that reflect divine guidance. Thus, integrating prayer and biblical principles into our decision-making processes helps us navigate complex situations with confidence and integrity…by influencing outcomes that honors Him and benefits others.

Do you remember God’s prophet, Balaam? He wanted to do right by the Lord, but he also wanted the riches offered him if he would curse God’s people. In Numbers (chapter 22), the angel of the Lord told Balaam, “Look, I’ve come to block your way because you are stubbornly resisting me. Three times the donkey saw me and shied away; otherwise, I would have killed you by now and spared the donkey.” Balaam answered, “I’ve sinned. I didn’t realize You were there to block my way.”

Remember Balaam, then, and…DON’T BUCK THE ‘BLOCK’! Go with God.
